About Me

Originally from Sioux Falls, S.D.,  I am a '83 graduate of O'Gorman H.S., with an undergrad degree from South Dakota State University in Speech Communications and Theatre ('87).  I received my Masters Degree in Counseling and Human Resource Development with and emphasis in both College Student Personnel and School Counseling ('91).  I began my career at the East Central Multi District, as the career counselor for 5 years.  I then went into advertising sales for Depot

Radio, and was a Realtor for Century 21.  I have been in my current position since 2000.  I also am serving as the Co-President for the Brookings Education Association from 2008-2012.

Melissa and I have three children, Elijah, Isabella and Grace.
